The Wheel is CD sized and rotates. As it is turned, different national and local numbers are revealed. Telephone numbers are for services such as accessing maternity services and advice and support around pre-conceptual care (including reducing obesity), domestic abuse, smoking cessation, teenage pregnancies and problematic addiction.
The Wheel reflects the importance of non-stigmatising information and advice and acts as a key stone for access to services. Made as a piece of action research using spiralling participation from the bottom up, with cross cutting professional input, the process involved 101 women, reflecting cultural capital through a range of ethnic groups and social need.
